And now we must wait until 2014 in the hopes that we find that one special horse who can withstand the grueling run for a Triple Crown and that is thanks to Oxbow who went wire to wire in taking Saturday's running of the Preakness Stakes.

Making the Case for the Kentucky Oaks Being a Better Race than the Kentucky Derby

Kentucky Derby contender Orb went four furlongs in 47 4/5 seconds the day after galloping 1 1/2 miles.


I know this will come off sounding like I am talking from both sides but for the sake of this article I am going to make the case as to why I think the Kentucky Oaks looks to be a better race than the Kentucky Derby.
