Malcolm Bronson signs FA contract with Kansas City Chiefs

LAKE CHARLES – Former McNeese football standout Malcolm Bronson has signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs this week making him the third Cowboy player to do so this spring.

Bronson, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in the third week of the 2012 football season, played four years for the Cowboys and recorded 230 tackles with 10 interceptions, 18 passes broken up, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

The Jasper, Texas native and nephew to former McNeese standout and NFL star Zack Bronson, Malcolm was the team’s MVP in 2011 and entered the 2012 season on the Buck Buchanan watch list.

He earned his bachelor’s degree two weeks ago.

Bronson joins Alec Savoie (Atlanta) and Seth Thomas (Washington) as other McNeese NFL free agent signees this season.
