New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis, Tulane Head Football coach Curtis Johnson, LSU Coordinator of Football Relations Charles Baglio and Newman Head Football coach Nelson Stewart are the featured speakers at noon at the first meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Monday, August 26 at noon at The Cannery, 3803 Toulouse Street in New Orleans.
Named NFL Executive of the Year in 2006, Loomis has presided over the most successful run in the history of the New Orleans Saints. Loomis is entering his 12th season in his current position and his 14th overall with the Saints. Loomis hired Sean Payton in 2006 and helped build a Super Bowl championship team in 2009.
Entering his second season, Tulane head coach Curtis Johnson is building a program from the ground up with many Louisiana products, aggressively seeking to keep the state's vast talent at home. A native of the New Orleans area, Johnson previously served for six years as wide receivers coach of the New Orleans Saints and was part of the magical Super Bowl championship run in 2009.
After a brilliant head coaching career at Independence in which he won 205 games, Charles Baglio enters his 10th season at LSU. The Independence native and Southeastern Louisiana graduate directs external relations for LSU football, dealing with high schools on a regular basis.
In his eighth season as head coach and his 14th overall at Newman, Nelson Stewart has compiled an impressive 55-27 record with the Greenies, regularly directing Newman to the state playoffs. Stewart played college football at Tulane.
The Cannery is an outstanding reception hall for all types of events, located behind the American Can Company Building.

Annual membership is $50. Members and non-members are invited to the weekly luncheons, which are held every Monday for 17 consecutive weeks, with the exception of Tuesday, September 3, the day after Labor Day, running through Monday, December 16.
The cost for members for lunch is $20 while non-members are welcome at $25 each. Speakers on the Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep football are featured every week. The Quarterback Club selects a prep player of the week from the metro area each week and will announce a prep player of the year at the final meeting on Monday, December 16, sponsored by the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
