Recruiting: Eddie Jackson commits to Alabama

LSU and Alabama continue to battle head-to-head on many recruits with both sides claiming victories over the last couple of years. The latest win goes to the Crimson Tide.

Eddie Jackson of Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale, Lakes, Florida has chosen Alabama over LSU.

An outstanding athlete, The 6-foot-one, 180-pound Jackson could play offense or defense but expects to play in the secondary at Alabama. Jackson had many other offers, including from Arkansas, Florida State and Tennessee.

With the decision of Jackson, may that open up a spot for LSU to now offer John Curtis linebacker Duke Riley a full scholarship immediately, as opposed to a grayshirt? If so, Riley may be swayed to sign with the Tigers. Riley has 13 offers, including from Tulane, Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, among others.
