The New Orleans Saints are 0-4, but they are still trying to weigh their options to bolster the roster.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Saints have worked out former Browns and Seahawks quarterback Seneca Wallace. New Orleans continues a recent tradition of carrying just two quarterbacks on the active roster (Drew Brees and Chase Daniel) and are likely just doing their due dilligence with a player in Wallace who has significant starting experience.
The Saints also announced they have once again re-signed receiver Greg Camarillo and released cornerback Elbert Mack. With just five receivers on the active roster and the appearance of Lance Moore on the Wednesday injury list, New Orleans addressed the need for veteran depth at wideout by signing Camarillo for the third time since August.
Other receivers have reportedly been given a look by the Saints this week. Multiple sources indicate former NFL receivers Brian Robiskie (Jaguars), Deon Butler (Seahawks), Preston Parker (Buccaneers), Rashied Davis (Bears) and Jason Hill (Broncos) worked out for the team since their return from Green Bay.
Other players on the active roster besides Moore to miss Wednesday's practice are RB Travaris Cadet (right shoulder), S Roman Harper (hip), LB David Hawthorne (hamstring) and DL Turk McBride (left ankle). Also, LB Jonathan Casillas (neck) was limited while S Malcolm Jenkins (hamstring) and DT Akiem Hicks (ankle) were full.
