The focus on improving the cornerback position by the New Orleans Saints could bring a Louisiana Super Bowl hero back.
As several reports indicate, the possibility is there for cornerback Tracy Porter, who visited the Saints on Monday.
Like recent free agents like linebacker Victor Butler and Nmandi Asomugha, Porter left Airline Drive without signing a contract.
After spending his first four NFL season with New Orleans after the team drafted him in the second round out of Indiana, the Port Allen native Porter signed a free agent deal with the Denver Broncos. Though Denver soared with New Orleans native Peyton Manning bouncing back from injury to lead a 12-win team, Porter's year in Denver was severely hampered by injury and medical issues. He managed one interceptions and 21 tackles in six games.
