1969—Saints trade tackle Jerry Jones, guard Roy Schmidt, and linebacker Jim Ferguson to the Falcons in return for tackles Don Talbert as well as Errol Linden, recognized as the first native New Orleanian to make the Saints regular season roster.
1980—Saints General Manager Steve Rosenbloom trades away guard Conrad Dobler to Buffalo in return for an eighth round draft choice in '81. Dobler later told WVUE-TV that he was very upset when Rosenbloom implied that the Bills were "stupid" because the Saints were going to cut Dobler anyway.
