Former New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Derland Moore, Tulane assistant coach David Johnson, former LSU lineman Jeff Brignac and St. Charles Catholic head coach Frank Monica will be the featured speakers at the weekly Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club Luncheon on Monday, October 14 at noon at The Cannery, 3803 Toulouse Street in New Orleans.
Moore suited up in 170 games for the Saints from 1973-1985, ranking him eighth all-time in franchise history in games played. He finished his 14-year NFL career with the New York Jets in 1986. The former Oklahoma star earned Pro Bowl honors in 1983, led the team in sacks in 1980, and was later inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame and the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
In his second season as tight ends/running backs coach at Tulane after serving as head coach at St. Augustine for three seasons, Johnson played high school football at John F. Kennedy before starring at Nicholls State. He also coached previously at Millsaps College.
Brignac starred at Rummel, graduating in 1982 before attending LSU from 1983-1986. He now serves as a financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments.
Monica is in his 15th year as the head coach at St. Charles Catholic, where he led the Comets to the 3A state championship in 2011. Monica previously served as a head coach at Riverside, Lutcher and Jesuit. He also coached at Tulane for many years.

The cost for members for lunch is $20 while non-members are welcome at $25 each. Speakers on the Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep football are featured every week. The Quarterback Club selects a prep player of the week from the metro area each week and will announce a prep player of the year at the final meeting on Monday, December 16, sponsored by the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
