New Orleans native and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver/kick returner Jacoby Jones had a record-setting day in Super Bowl XLVII Sunday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome ... just not enough to take game MVP honors away from his teammates, quarterback Joe Flacco.
But Jones got a bit on a consolation prize Tuesday. He is on the cover of this week's issue of Sports Illustrated.
Jones set a Super Bowl record with 290 combined yards in the Ravens' 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. His 108-yard kickoff return to open the second half was the longest play in Super Bowl history, and he also caught a touchdown pass from Flacco late in the second quarter.
