Tulane's Chris Davenport is 6-foot-4, 334-pound defensive tackle with a personality every bit as large.
The graduate student from Mansfield, who transferred from LSU, completed his degree in sport administration with a minor in journalism at LSU. If the NFL doesn't work out for Davenport, one of his options would be to pursue a career in broadcasting.
So it was a natural to have Davenport switch roles this week from answering to asking the questions. At Tuesday's weekly news conference (click here for complete video and transcript of Wave head coach Curtis Johnson's presser), Davenport provided an exclusive interview of his defensive teammate, safety Darion Monroe, for SportsNOLA.com.
Among the topics Davenport addressed with his defensive cohort was Monroe's opinion of the performance of the interviewer along with fellow defensive lineman Julius Warmsley, named Louisiana defensive player of the week by state sportswriters on Monday.
