NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans VooDoo will make the trek to Jacksonville to take on the reigning ArenaBowl XXIV Champion Jacksonville Sharks in a preseason game on Saturday, March 3. Kickoff for the game is set for 11:30 a.m. CT.

"We are less than 45 days out to our season and I get more and more excited with the passing of every day," said head coach Pat O'Hara. "We will begin training camp soon as well, and we will have a lot of competition at a lot of positions. Playing against a team like Jacksonville in preseason will be a good barometer to gauge our progress in camp."

The New Orleans VooDoo will begin training camp on Friday, February 24 with players reporting for physicals. The team will then go through a league mandatory three-day acclimation period, and will put on the pads for the first time on Tuesday, February 28.

Currently, the VooDoo has 31 players on its roster – 4 shy of the league maximum allotted for training camp. The coaching staff will look to fill the vacant spots in the next few weeks.
